Where Peace House Stands
Peace House stands on the traditional and ancestral lands of the Massachusett people -- rooted in connection to deep spiritual traditions, and mindful of the injustices Indigenous people have endured through colonization, displacement, and cultural erasure.
To reflect on this history is to see reality as profoundly interconnected—nothing arises or exists on its own. We live in a vast web of being, participating in the strength and in the suffering of others, past, present, and future. Buddhism also reminds us that our present actions matter—that the choices we make now in how we live (think, intend, and act) shape both this moment and what unfolds for generations to come. This is the heart of Right Action, a vital step on the Noble Eightfold Path.
At Peace House we invite you to pause, and to reconnect with this greater truth. Rest your heart, even for a little while. Let yourself be held by the deep web of connection to which you already belong, in all its pain and beauty.
